Nigeria is seeking to learn tourism expansion strategies from China, according to the Director General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTD), Dr Ola Awakan. Speaking at a seminar on China's tourism development experience organized by the Chinese embassy in Abuja, Dr Awakan said China's transformation into a leading tourism destination offers valuable lessons for Nigeria. He highlighted areas such as strategic planning, infrastructure development, investment, destination branding, digital innovation, human capital development, and public-private sector collaboration.
