A group of All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Kwara State have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing the opposition party as a better platform for the state's political future. The defectors, led by Comrade Ezekiel Adepoju, announced their decision in Offa Local Government Area, expressing confidence in the leadership of former Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki. The group, formerly from Shawo Central Ward in Offa, the home ward of Senator Lola Ashiru, who is part of the G-15 coalition with the PDP, reaffirmed their belief that the PDP offers better opportunities for development. Their declaration was followed by a solidarity rally organized by women in the ward.
