Nineteen political parties in Kogi State signed a peace accord on Tuesday, pledging to conduct their campaigns and political activities in accordance with the law. The agreement was facilitated by the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) during a stakeholder engagement at the Kogi State Police Command Headquarters in Lokoja. The parties committed to peaceful conduct and refraining from actions that could cause violence or disrupt the electoral process. They also agreed to focus campaigns on policies and issues, avoiding hate speech, ethnic or religious division, and personal attacks.
