President Donald Trump announced new tariffs and bans on certain Canadian goods on Tuesday. The bans, effective September 29, affect many Canadian alcohol imports, some motorcycles, dairy products, molasses, and nonalcoholic beer. New 50% tariffs, effective September 15, cover a range of Canadian cheeses, steel and aluminum products, golf carts, and furniture. This action follows Canada's retaliatory tariffs on US goods such as cheese and honey.
