One million out-of-school children return to classrooms in 20 months —FG

The federal government announced that more than one million out-of-school children have returned to classrooms in the last 20 months, describing it as a major breakthrough in its education reform agenda. The Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, made this disclosure while receiving the new UNESCO Country Representative to Nigeria, Professor Isaiah Barreto Da Rosa. Alausa sought deeper collaboration with UNESCO and highlighted that nearly 6.7 million girls have benefited from interventions aimed at improving education access and quality.
