Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has alleged that the Benue State Government orchestrated the blockade of Peter Obi's convoy during the former Anambra State governor's visit on Tuesday. Sowore claimed the incident, where a crowd prevented Obi from proceeding and chanted for him to leave, was designed to stop him from entering Makurdi. He cited the alleged presence of a special adviser to the Benue State governor among the crowd as evidence of government involvement, referencing Obi's own statement. Sowore asserted that no one should be prevented from traveling anywhere in Nigeria.
