President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr Abdul-Baasit Aziz-Bamba as Acting Director-General of the Value for Money Office. The office was established under the Value for Money Office Act, 2026 (Act 1172) to enforce prudent public spending and eliminate financial waste. Dr Aziz-Bamba, a Harvard-trained lawyer and academic, brings over 16 years of legal and consulting experience to the role.
