Police Warn against Violence as Parties Sign Peace Accord in Kogi

The Kogi State Police Command has assured political parties of adequate security for the 2027 general election, warning against any acts of violence. Commissioner of Police Naziru Kankafori spoke at the signing of a Peace Accord with 19 out of 22 political parties in Lokoja. The accord commits parties and their supporters to peaceful participation in the elections. The police emphasized that the accord is essential for ensuring a peaceful electoral process.
