The Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) are meeting in Harare to strengthen cooperation on resilient agrifood systems. The SADC-FAO annual review and planning meeting, from September 8 to 11, brings together technical teams to review progress and agree on priorities for 2027-2028. The meeting addresses challenges such as climate shocks, droughts, floods, pests, land degradation, and weak value-chain integration. The goal is to translate strategic priorities into practical action for more efficient and sustainable agrifood systems.
