Arrest thugs that stopped Obi within 24 hours, Igbo group tells Benue gov

The Igbo Heroes and Icons Foundation has urged Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia to arrest within 24 hours the suspected thugs who blocked Peter Obi's convoy. Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, was on a humanitarian visit to Benue when youths stopped him along the Makurdi-Gboko Road. The group expressed concern over political intolerance and the protection of citizens' rights.
