The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Festus Ibewuike, a fugitive drug kingpin, in Benin Republic. Ibewuike was wanted in connection with a 49.7kg heroin shipment intercepted at the Lagos airport. His arrest follows a coordinated operation between Nigerian and Beninese authorities.
