Alia seized 23 vehicles allocated to him, court ordered their return — Ortom alleges

Former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has alleged that his successor, Governor Hyacinth Alia, seized 23 vehicles allocated to him by the state government after he left office. Ortom said he challenged the seizure in court and won a judgment ordering the return of the vehicles and payment of N5 million in damages. He stated that the vehicles were legitimately allocated to him before he left office, and no communication was made before the seizure. The court ruling mandated the state government to return the vehicles and pay damages.
