The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has rejected the Federal Government's proposed Learner Identification Number (LIN), calling it an unnecessary duplication of the existing National Identification Number (NIN). NANS argued that the LIN would create an additional burden on students and parents without clear benefits. The association urged the government to focus on improving the education sector rather than introducing redundant policies. The Federal Government has yet to respond to the rejection.
