Harmoni, a startup that makes custom tablets and AI software for factory floors, has raised $10 million in Series A funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners. The company has around 40 customers and expects to add another 10 this month, with aerospace and defense making up its largest customer segment. The funding comes as the US tries to reindustrialize after years of offshoring, and Harmoni's new AI product, HAL, is designed to help workers automate routine tasks. The company focuses on modernizing existing factories rather than building new ones from scratch.
