A 13-year-old student, Alhassan Jamil, was swept away by flood in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory. His father, Jamil Maikasuwa, narrated that he was dropping his son off at school on his motorcycle when the boy fell into flood water while crossing a culvert. Despite efforts to save him, the flood swept him away. Maikasuwa, who is Special Assistant to the council chairman on Domestic Affairs, said his son's body has not yet been recovered.
