The maternal mortality ratio in Kano State has decreased significantly from 1,025 to 358 deaths per 100,000 live births, representing a reduction of over 50 percent. The State Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Coordinator, Mansura Yahya Haruna, disclosed this during a two-day health meeting. The improvement is attributed to various health interventions.
