Akpabio Challenges Authors of Alleged Anti-North Comment to Produce Evidence

The Office of the Senate President has challenged authors of an alleged anti-northern comment to produce evidence or retract it. The statement, attributed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, was described as a fabrication. His media adviser, Eseme Eyiboh, demanded the original recording or authenticated transcript. Eyiboh said the claim was designed to inflame ethnic sentiments ahead of the 2027 election.
