The Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission (LASERC) has granted a licence to Elektron Energy to generate power in Lagos. The licence issuance coincides with a key phase in the development of Elektron's flagship Victoria Island Power Ltd. (VIPL) project. The project is scheduled to commence commercial operations in December 2026. This development is part of efforts to improve electricity supply in Lagos State.
