Gunmen attacked herders in Nyarwai Village, Fan District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing a herder named Yakubu Ishaku and about 18 cattle. The attack occurred around 1pm on Wednesday while the herders were tending to their cattle. Ibrahim Yusuf Babayo, the state chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), confirmed the incident and condemned it as 'one too many'. MACBAN called on security agencies to investigate and apprehend those responsible.
