Despite heavy rain, a massive crowd gathered at the Ake Palace Pavilion in Abeokuta, with supporters singing and waving flags. The party's governorship candidate, Ladi Adebutu, and his running mate, 'Yemi Showunmi-Kolapo, were present. Traffic congestion occurred as the campaign train moved through the city.
