NCGC Targets ₦100bn in Credit to Close Gender Gaps in Access to Finance

The National Credit Guarantee Company (NCGC) reported that in its first year, 11,374 women were among beneficiaries of credit, highlighting a gender gap in access to finance. The company's inaugural impact report showed that 67,512 end-borrowers were women-owned businesses. NCGC provided N21.59 billion in risk cover, unlocking N46.95 billion in loans across 25 states and the FCT. A new initiative aims to provide over N100 billion in credit for female-led businesses.
