Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Edet Otu, has called for a stronger partnership between the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the state government to improve flight efficiency, upgrade airport facilities, and enhance passenger experience ahead of the 6th African Sub-Sovereign Governments Network (AfSNET) Investment Conference. The conference is scheduled for November 12-14, 2026, and is expected to attract participants from across Africa and the Caribbean. Governor Otu made the appeal during a courtesy visit by the FAAN Governing Board, led by Chairman Dr. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, in Calabar. He noted that the event would place Cross River State at the center of major international investment and economic diplomacy.
