Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, stated that President Bola Tinubu risked his re-election bid to restructure Nigeria's badly damaged economy. Alake, who also serves as spokesperson for the APC Presidential Campaign Council for 2027, said the administration's difficult measures were necessary to correct long-standing economic distortions. He noted that previous governments avoided these reforms due to political consequences.
