OpenAI has announced that Paul Christiano, a senior technical advisor at the U.S. Commerce Department's AI center, will join the board of the OpenAI Foundation, the charity that holds a 26% stake in the company. Christiano will also serve as a non-voting observer on the board of OpenAI's main entity. The appointment was made public on Wednesday.
