The wife of Nigeria's President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has distributed empowerment items to 500 indigent women in Ebonyi State. The items, which include deep freezers, gas cookers with ovens, power generators, and industrial grinding machines, are intended to support the women in starting or improving businesses. Represented by the wife of the Ebonyi State Governor, Mrs. Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru, Tinubu noted that the programme is being implemented simultaneously across the five South-East states. The initiative, facilitated by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, aims to empower 18,000 women nationwide, with 500 beneficiaries per state and the Federal Capital Territory.
