The Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria (ISPON) has pledged to launch a National Software Industry Registry within the next six months to promote software development in the country. The registry will document software achievements and celebrate developers, aiming to increase global visibility for Nigeria's software industry. ISPON President James Agada made this announcement during the inauguration of the 2026/2028 National Executive Council in Lagos, expressing concern that milestones in the industry are often unrecognized. The event was attended by officials from NITDA and the Nigeria Computer Society.
