The Youth Development and Empowerment Initiative (YEDI) has empowered approximately 150 youths with digital and textile making skills during an eight-day summer camp in Lagos. The programme manager, Olasode Abiola, stated that the initiative aims to help participants make informed decisions and develop careers in these fields. Founder of Mo Glam Concepts, Monica Affia, described the Adire making training as a corporate social responsibility effort to improve livelihoods. A 13-year-old participant, Ojoye Samuel Akorede, praised the programme for exposing him to teamwork, which he considers critical for his future career as a surgeon.
