Fresh details have emerged regarding a reported barge accident at the Nembe Creek facility in Bayelsa State. The owner of the vessel involved, Mr Ebikeme Sokere, Principal of Fazal Environmental Company, stated that the incident was caused by a minor mishap when his barge struck a broken block or debris while moving. He dismissed claims that the incident was connected to the operations of Nembe Exploration and Production Ltd., formerly Aiteo Eastern Exploration and Production Ltd. Sokere described the incident as 'minor' and rejected any suggestion that Nembe Exploration or its predecessor was responsible.
