The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested and repatriated Festus Ibewuike, a suspected drug kingpin who had been on the run for over two years. Ibewuike was apprehended in Cotonou, Benin Republic, through collaboration with INTERPOL. He is linked to the interception of 49.70kg of heroin at Lagos airport in February 2024, the largest single heroin seizure at the airport.
