Anthropic posted a job listing for a salesperson dedicated to selling to Meta, one of its largest customers and an AI rival, but removed the listing after Business Insider inquired about it. The listing, titled 'Mega Account Executive, Meta,' appeared on Anthropic's job board at a time when the relationship between the two companies is complex. Meta spends hundreds of millions of dollars a month as an Anthropic customer, according to a recent New York Times report, but is also working to reduce its reliance on Anthropic's AI tools. The job post suggests Anthropic expects Meta to remain a major customer even as Meta develops its own AI models.
