The Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Plateau State, Prof. Sam Egwu, has raised concerns over the growing number of uncollected Permanent Voter Cards in the state. Speaking during a readiness assessment meeting with political party officials, civil society organisations, and other stakeholders in Jos, Egwu disclosed that over 95,000 PVCs remained uncollected from previous electoral cycles. He urged political parties to intensify mobilisation and public enlightenment to ensure that eligible voters retrieve their cards. Egwu also announced preparations for internally displaced persons to vote in the 2027 general election in nine local government areas of Plateau State.
