The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidates in Ogun and Abia States, Oladipupo Adebutu and Dr. Kelechi Anosike, have commenced their campaigns for the 2027 elections. In Ogun, supporters gathered at the Ake Palace Pavilion in Abeokuta despite rain, wearing party attire and waving flags. The event caused traffic congestion from the PDP Secretariat to the stadium as crowds filled the roads. Similar campaign activities were held in Abia State.
