ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has criticized the federal government's celebration of increased federal allocations, calling it an economic illusion that ignores currency depreciation, inflation, and mounting debts. In a statement by his aide Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said Nigerians should not be deceived by trillions in naira when the currency has lost value and citizens pay more for goods. He argued that the figures collapse when tested against economic realities.
