First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has donated N250 million to 2,500 women in the South-East region of Nigeria. The empowerment items were presented to 500 women in each of the five South-East states: Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo. The flag-off event took place in Owerri, Imo State. The initiative aims to support women in starting or growing their businesses, with items such as deep-chest freezers, maxi gas cookers with ovens, generators, and industrial grinding machines. At the end of the nationwide rollout, 18,500 women across the country will have been empowered.
