The Arewa Revival Project has expressed support for Senate President Godswill Akpabio and cautioned Nigerians against spreading unverified claims on social media ahead of the 2027 general elections. The group was reacting to a viral social media publication that allegedly attributed a statement to Akpabio suggesting that northerners would suffer if President Bola Ahmed Tinubu loses the 2027 election. The group described the alleged statement as deeply inflammatory and called for proper verification before acceptance. In a statement signed by its project coordinator, Hon. Muttaka Ahmed Ibrahim, the group urged the public and media to demand the original video, audio recording, transcript, date, venue, and credible source from those circulating the allegation.
