Four governorship candidates across Nigeria flagged off their campaigns on Wednesday following the official commencement of campaigns for governorship and House of Assembly elections. They are Abubakar Malami of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State, Tijani Ahmad Galadima of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Kingsley Chinda of the APC in Rivers State, and Oladipupo Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State. The campaign council of Abubakar Malami kicked off his governorship campaign, criticizing the ruling APC government in Kebbi State over what it considered poor handling of the state budget, spending, insecurity, and the closure of state schools for seven months.
