Dr. Adebayo Oladeji, Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology at University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, revealed that Nigeria requires at least 1,000 radiotherapy machines to adequately treat cancer patients. Currently, the country has fewer than 20 such machines. This significant shortfall hinders effective cancer care in Nigeria.
