The Anambra State Police Command has denied collecting N600,000 or any other sum from a suspect in the investigation into the alleged murder of Awka-based Master of Ceremonies Isaac Nwosu, also known as Aiza Nwosu, and another unidentified victim. Police Public Relations Officer Tochukwu Ikenga made the clarification at a press briefing in Awka, challenging anyone alleging extortion to provide credible evidence. The victims were reportedly killed last week in separate incidents suspected to be linked to cult-related violence in the state capital.
