The turbaning of Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as the Sardauna of Ilorin will take place on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. The organising committee announced that the ceremony will be performed by the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, at the Emir's Palace in Ilorin. The event is scheduled to commence at 11:00 a.m., with Vice President Kashim Shettima expected to represent President Bola Tinubu.
