Bella Shmurda Recalls Stealing Bicycle To Fund Music Career

Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda, born Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, revealed in an interview on Echo Room TV that he once stole a neighbor's son's bicycle and sold it to fund a studio session. The incident occurred while he lived in Okoko, Lagos, during his struggle to raise money for music. He sold the bicycle at Alaba Market for N7,000. Bella Shmurda said the act remained painful for him, but he later found the boy and bought him a new bicycle to make amends.
