Deputy spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Hon. Philip Agbese, has dismissed allegations by Senator Ireti Kingibe that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike engaged in borrowings without National Assembly approval. Kingibe had raised concerns on national television, stating she had never seen Wike seek loan approval from the Senate. Agbese maintained that Wike has not committed any infraction in financing FCT projects.
