Rivers ADP Vows 500,000 Jobs in First Year, Rejects Rainbow Coalition

The Rivers State chapter of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) has formally commenced its campaign for the 2027 governorship election. Its candidate, Angel Lawson, promised to create 500,000 direct and indirect jobs within the first year of his administration if elected. Lawson made the pledge in Port Harcourt while flagging off the party's governorship campaign alongside his running mate, Orluh Ibrahim Nyekachi. He said his decision to contest was driven by the desire to provide inclusive governance, tackle unemployment, and expand economic opportunities for residents.
