The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) has approved a new response framework that could mobilise up to $5.1 billion to shield Africa from energy and fertiliser shocks. The plan aims to mitigate the impact of global supply disruptions. The AfDB said the funds would support countries in accessing affordable energy and fertiliser. The framework is expected to be implemented over the next two years.
