The French Football Federation (FFF) has announced it will not support Gianni Infantino's candidacy for a new term as FIFA president in March 2027. The FFF is aligning with other European federations such as Belgium, Italy, Scotland, Sweden, and Wales that have withdrawn support. FIFA confirmed Infantino will stand in the election despite backlash over his abandoned plan to bring private investment into World Cups. FFF president Philippe Diallo said trust in Infantino has been betrayed and that the governance of world football no longer reflects them.
