Wike committed no infraction in FCT borrowings — Reps deputy spoksperson

Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Philip Agbese, has dismissed allegations that Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike obtained loans for Abuja projects without National Assembly approval. Agbese, a Labour Party member from Benue State, said Wike has not violated any law and described him as one of the most legislatively compliant public officials. The lawmaker was responding to claims by Senator Ireti Kingibe, who represents the FCT, that the FCT Administration engaged in borrowings without securing the required approval.
