Economist Bismarck Rewane has stated that Dangote Refinery's proposed N2.15 trillion Initial Public Offering could help raise Nigeria's GDP from about $278 billion to $600 billion by 2030. Speaking at the Abuja investor roadshow, Rewane noted that the investment could generate significant multiplier effects through increased industrial output, investment, consumer spending, and exports. He also pointed to the refinery's planned expansion from 650,000–700,000 barrels per day to 1.4 million barrels per day as a major private-sector investment.
