The death toll from suspected consumption of herbal drinks in Ondo State has risen to 30, with 50 others hospitalized. The deaths occurred in Odigbo town, Newtown, Orita, and Araromi-Obu communities in Odigbo Local Government Area. The state government has ordered a halt to the sale and consumption of locally produced alcoholic drinks and other suspected concoctions in the affected areas, while health and security authorities investigate the cause.
