APC Must Maintain Issue-Based Campaigns – New Nigeria Initiative

The New Nigeria Initiative, a public advocacy group, has commended the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Senator Abdul'aziz Yari, Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council, for committing to an issues-based campaign for the 2027 general election. In a statement, the group's Director of Public Affairs, Chris Oke, praised the APC for ensuring a level playing field that allows opposition parties to campaign without fear of intimidation. The group said Yari's approach marks a departure from past political cycles and that his political ingenuity earned him the top campaign job. It added that the APC campaign council has avoided bickering and bitterness, focusing instead on issues that will give the party an edge.
