The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has accused promoters of NICON Insurance Plc and Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation of sponsoring a false and malicious publication alleging fraud in the recently concluded insurance industry recapitalisation exercise. NAICOM described the publication as false and malicious. The commission's response comes amid claims of a N100 billion fraud.
