About five years ago, a couple purchased a house in a hillside Sicilian village without having seen it in person. They were living in New York City at the time, and the wife had never visited Sicily before closing on the property. Some family and friends doubted their plans, but the couple proceeded with the unconventional decision. They have since moved to Sicily full-time from New York City and have loved living there.
